HOW TO STILL FEEL GOOD DURING QUARANTINE

By: Sabine Waldeck

Quarantine. We’re in it.

It has been too easy to fall into a habit of waking up, staying in your pajamas and not doing your skincare routine or typical makeup. This can leave you feeling less motivated, less in control, and it takes an unexpected toll on your self-confidence.

I am not going to sit here and act like I am not guilty of this myself. It seems as though I have misplaced my once existing morning routine and have felt the negative effects on my physical appearance. In order to help myself and those struggling with this, here are some quarantine friendly tips to help you gain control, and feel like your beautiful self during this not so beautiful time.

Get back on your routine girl! When you do wake up at noon, it is important to get on with your normal skincare or general morning routine. Trust me, it’ll help you start the Monday off right; it’s also okay if you don’t know what day it is.

On top of that, instead of staying in whatever mess you woke up in, throw on an actual outfit. Now, this doesn’t have to be those skinny jeans that make your butt pop, because we all know those are not the comfiest things. Maybe opt for some cuter loungewear, instead of some type of tattered middle school throwback shirt I know you have on.

Pamper yourself. There has never been a better time to dive deep into self-care, and we all deserve a little more right now. Put on a facemask, take a bath, or dive into products that have been waiting for you. Do it all.

If makeup is more your speed, then stick your fingers into whatever palate you love and explore. Try to learn something new; take a few bad b*tch selfies, take it all off, and start another masterpiece. Whatever makes you feel pretty, do it.

The moral of this story is don’t forget to maintain some sort of normalcy. Falling out of a routine can mean falling into a funk, and that is way too easy to do right now. Remember that you are beautiful and deserve to treat yourself right.
